MOTRIN® Platinum Muscle & Body Caplets for Body Pain Relief

MOTRIN® Platinum Muscle & Body’s dual action formula quickly relieves body pain, and relaxes tense muscles.

Contains a pain reliever ( ibuprofen 200 mg ) and a muscle relaxant ( methocarbamol 500 mg ).

Purpose

200 mg of Ibuprofen (NSAID*)

Pain Reliever

500 mg of Methocarbamol

Muscle relaxant

*nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug

carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, FD&C yellow no. 6, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, triacetin

Available in two sizes: 18 count and 40 count.

  • Do not use if carton is open or if blister unit/bottle inner foil seal is broken 

  • Child resistant package (40 count) 

  • Store at 15 to 30°C

Adults and children over 12: Take 1 or 2 caplets every four to six hours as needed. Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration..

Stomach bleeding warning: This product may cause stomach bleeding. Symptoms may include

  • feeling faint 

  • vomiting blood

  • bloody or black stools. 

The chance of stomach bleeding is higher if you: 

  • are age 60 or older 

  • have had stomach ulcers or bleeding problems 

  • take a blood thinner or steroid drug

  • take with other drugs containing an NSAID like acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), ibuprofen, naproxen, or prescription anti-inflammatory drugs

  • have 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using this product.

Allergy alert: Ibuprofen may cause a severe allergic reaction, especially in people allergic to ASA. Stop use and get medical help right away if you have 

  • severe itching 

  • hives 

  • swelling of eyes and mouth 

  • skin blisters/rash 

  • difficulty breathing

  • shock.

Do not use

  • with ASA, other NSAIDs or ibuprofen products 

  • if you are

    • allergic to ibuprofen, ASA, salicylates, NSAIDs, methocarbamol or any ingredients in this product

    • in your third trimester of pregnancy

    • dehydrated due to vomiting, diarrhea or lack of fluid intake

  • if you have 

    • ulcers or stomach bleeding

    • recurring ulcers 

    • inflammatory bowel disease 

    • lupus

    • serious liver or kidney problems

    • high potassium in the blood 

    • growth inside your nose 

  • right before or after heart surgery.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you

  • have

    • high blood pressure 

    • asthma

    • heart disease

    • had heart failure

    • diabetes 

    • thyroid disease

    • glaucoma 

    • liver or kidney disease 

    • alcoholism 

    • blood clotting disorder

    • any other serious condition 

  • take any other medication especially daily low-dose ASA (81 to 325 mg), anticoagulants, corticosteroids, sedatives or drugs for depression 

  • are trying to conceive or pregnant. It is especially important not to use ibuprofen at 20 weeks or later in pregnancy unless directed by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. 

  • are breastfeeding.

When using this product 

  • take with food or milk if upset stomach occurs 

  • the risk of heart attack or stroke may increase if you use more than directed or for longer than directed

  • you may experience 

    • drowsiness 

    • dizziness

    • light-headedness

    • nausea

  • do not drink alcohol

  • do not drive or operate machinery.

Stop use and ask a doctor if 

  • you show signs of stomach bleeding (see Stomach bleeding warning) 

  • pain/symptoms worsen or lasts more than 5 days

  • you have chest pain

  • any new or unusual symptoms occurs

  • you get a rash or itchy skin.

Keep out of reach of children.

This package contains enough medicine to seriously harm a child. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or get medical help right away.
